***Sporometrics PDC on Interpretation of Mycological Sampling Data at Heath & Safety Canada, 2008***
Dr. Summerbell, Dr. Scott and Dr. Green jointly presented a half-day professional development course at the 2008 Health & Safety Canada, IAPA Trade Show & Exposition at the Metro Convention Centre in Toronto, Ontario, April 23, 2008. This course was intended to provide practicing hygienists with a basis to develop a relevant narrative from fungal sampling data, to advance their understanding of the nature and scope of indoor environmental problems, and to communicate their findings to workplace clients and partners. Specific topic addressed were 1) the use and interpretation of air samples in detecting hidden fungal contamination; and 2) the resolution of difficulties in reconciling spore trap air data with culturable sampling data.
